On Friday, August 22nd, Chris Hush with NBC’s Channel 5 News visited the Books4Cause Avondale pop-up library. He interviewed founder Yosef Lifchitz and his daughter Maya for a feature piece on the 5:00 news, where they discussed the founding of Books4Cause, our current projects around Chicago and the rest of the world, and our vision for the future.
We had a great time talking to Chris and telling him about what we do at Books4Cause. Maya remarked on his enthusiasm regarding the free libraries, “It’s exciting to see the reaction to the idea of a free bookstore. There’s such warmth from everybody we talk to about it.”
NBC also left a fun message on our art mirrors. Come check it out at 2933 N. Milwaukee in Avondale and pick up free books today!
