Volunteers help keep our free bookstores organized, welcoming, and stocked with books. A few hours of your time changes what a reader can find on the shelves — and you’ll spend it surrounded by books and people who love them.
What volunteers do
- Sort and shelve donated books
- Keep shelves and displays organized
- Prepare books for schools, libraries, and community programs
- Help with light bookstore projects
Good to know
When
Most volunteer needs are on weekends. Shifts are generally 1–2 hours, during bookstore hours.
Where
Choose Avondale, Uptown, or either location. Most current needs are at Avondale.
Who
Ages 16+, or younger volunteers accompanied by an adult. Service-hours documentation available.
